It was a quiet morning on February 15th in Tin Shui Wai.  Alongside the drainage channel outside Tin Heng Estate, the slope was carpeted with buffy leaves peeled off from the trees in the last winter.  All of a sudden a sound of flop-flop flop-flop broke out under a bauhinia tree with several decaying leaves exploded.  Slowly a thrush with grey upperparts scaly breast and orange flank unveiled herself from under the buffy leaves.  The grey-backed thrust makes a spectacular entrance.
