Birdwatching in Tokyo and Miyakejima (三宅島) - Part I Seabirds
This was a short relaxing trip to catch up with some interesting seabirds, pacific island endemic birds and late migrants in Tokyo.
The trip:
8/5 Hong Kong to Tokyo
9/5 Tokyo to Hachijojima (八丈島, ~300km south of Tokyo in the Pacific Ocean）by flight (40min), then ferry to Miyakejima (~200km south of Tokyo) for 4 hours, stayed on Miyakejima overnight
10/5 Mijakejima to Tokyo by ferry (6.5 hours)
11/5 Tokyo Port Wild Bird Park (東京港野鸟公園）
12/5 Kiyosumi Teien (清澄庭園）
