Paux, love yr previous chapter on Taiping too. As a Peninsular veteran, how could u manage the heat there when birding?

K_Chan, thanks for the comment. Actually, I don't think the high temperature at Malaysia is more dfficult to handle than that of HK these days. When you bird at the popular spots like botanical gardens, you can always bird under the shades to avoid direct sunlight. You can also look for fruit trees that attracts birds to dine; at Taman Negara, I noted more than 30 different bird species came to a fig tree non-stop from morning to evening. And I just watched the movement on this fig tree for hours. Or you can bird at higher altitude to avoid the heat, Fraser's Hill is an exellent place to visit in summer.
