Sonneratia in front of Bird Hide

Sonneratia in front of Bird Hide

Having visit board walk last Sunday found quite many Sonneratia rooted right in front of the old bird hide. Most of them have already reached 1m high.
If they are not removed in coming few months, it would be much more difficult to clear them after they have established extensive roots on the mudflat.

Hi Gary,

Thank you very much for posting up your observation.

We will soon commence our annual mangrove seedlings clearance work and those Sonneratia would be removed.

Thanks,

Hi Katherine,

Actually I would like to see if the shore bird would come closer to the bird hide after a thin layer of mangrove have formed in front of it. But I'm sure the other user, i.e. photographer, would not support my curiosity.
