A flock of House Swift was seen at Long Valley this afternoon (2010.01.09). There was at least 60 - 70.

However, I found there were swifts with white underwing. One of them was captured below.



Also a House Swift or other species?

Thank you for assistance in identification.

This is a House Swift - you can see the pale rump on this clear photo.

I agree this is a house swift. The underwing looks paler because of the angle of the bird, so that the wing is catching the sunlight
