I think there have been at least five different Yellow-throated Buntings at Po Toi this week, quite possibly more, and including this superb summer plumage male

Also a winter plumage male and three different females

I presume these birds were part of the invasion of Yellow-throated Buntings into our area last autumn, now returning on spring passage after having wintered somewhere to the south west of here.

If so, Po Toi Island is a very good place for the mirgation of the birds.

Congratultion to Hong Kong birdwatchers.

Geoff

You've the most peaceful encounters with them all! See how they let show themselves to you, my good fellow.
I saw the bottom right one at a distance during Sunday. I was not satisfied, causing me to take the trouble or much better say pleasure of coming to your old haunt to visit them again!
