John, I assume a female Brambling Author: ajohn Time: 11/04/2010 06:46
Yes, a female Brambling. Do I get a 7s ticket as well? Author: tbob Time: 11/04/2010 15:03
Well I don't know about 2 "John's" getting tickets as it was an easy ID for both you experts.
But here is a harder ID, today at Pokfulam a Dove/Pigeon the same size and colouring as a Spotted Dove but with a long black tail feather with white tip. It was feeding on its own but there were Spotted Doves in the vicinity. The white tip would have been at least 1" long
Sorry no decent photo as only phone camera
Thanks
Bob

It looks to me like a Spotted Dove with the central tail feathers missing, so that you can see the white on the outer tail. Author: tbob Time: 12/04/2010 13:19

If there is a Rugby Sevens ticket to be won, I'm willing to declare this to be any species you prefer.
John
P.S. "Integrity" is my middle name !
