I think the black head is post-mortem and results from a lack of feathers rather than feather colour.
The plain yellow bill, pattern of black on the primaries, upperpart colour and dark legs all suggest Black-legged Kittiwake to me. It would be a good record if this is the case. Author: Sze Time: 26/04/2010 23:33
