Not sure if this interests anyone, or is quite a common thing, but Thursday (10 June) lunchtime I watched a group of 15 BFS on the scrape and two called to each other during the light rain and a third bird sometimes joined in. The vocalisations went on for at least 20 minutes and sounded a bit like a distant flock of geese with an even more distant elephant! First time for me to hear any sound whatsoever from a BFS.
