It's a Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis). If you were not in Northern Europe at the time, it is a captive bird or escape.

I think that a Barnacle Goose this close, in this habitat, at this time of year is likely to be a captive, escape or part of a feral population, regardless of location!

I remember when I was Seattle in the 80's, the lawn in the university housed high number of geese in winter.  They were very approachable.  People in the university did not like them, because their dense droppings are smelly.
