A yearly bird list starting from 2006 (beginning of LV management project) to 2009 is prepared. The list includes both formal survey and casual records from bird watchers. The yearly number of birds recorded are: 133(2006), 141(2007), 146(2008), 148(2009). An increasing trend is showed. There are 94 species that are recorded every year. Attached please find the detailed list for your reference.

已整理由2006 (塱原管理項目展開) 至 2009年塱原錄得的雀鳥品種紀錄，紀錄包含雀鳥調查和鳥友的觀鳥紀錄。全年錄得的雀鳥品種數量如下: 130(2006), 138(2007), 146(2008), 148(2009)，結果顯示有上升的趨勢。另外，有94種是每年均錄得的鳥種。詳細的雀鳥紀錄請參考附件。

The 2010 list is added to the list.
2010年雀鳥紀錄已加到列表中。

What is the exact recording area for Long Valley - is there a Map.

BTW, the Middendorff's Grasshopper Warbler records are Styan's Grasshopper Warbler.

Thank you Paul for the correction. I've revised the list above.

The area is mainly farmland area between Sheung Yue River and Shek Sheung River. Also, records posted on this forum stated "Long Valley" were also counted to the list.
Here is the map.
