Is it an Oriental Reed Warbler or something else? Thanks.

VERY strange looking bird.
And surely ex-captive.
Interested to hear what others think, but I guess most likely ORW.

Well I agree on ORW. But I would not be surprised if it hadn't lost its tail to a cat or accipiter. Author: Beetle Time: 12/10/2010 00:13
how about juvenile moult? I often see juvenile birds (e.g. Prinias, tailorbirds, Magpie robins and so on) which has nearly no tail.
But obviously not strange like this. Author: lpaul Time: 12/10/2010 09:26
Nothing strange about this, just an Oriental Reed Warbler in (typically) heavy post-juvenile moult. Author: ctakming Time: 13/10/2010 00:00
Thanks all expert opinions.
