有關11月7日百搭日的觀鳥地點、集合時間和地點等詳情將於本週五(5/11) 下午在網上討論區公佈，敬請密切留意。
我們仍在參考各觀鳥點最近的鳥況，歡迎會員回覆此帖提出建議。

Details about the Wild Card Day will be announced onto the forum on Friday (5/11) afternoon.
We are taking note on the birds of different birding sites. Please feel free to give suggestions by repling this thread.

百搭日將會到蒲台島觀鳥，詳情如下 We will go to Po Toi Island on Wild Card Day, details as follow:

7/11/10 Po Toi Island outing 蒲台島觀鳥活動

Activity information
Date: 7/11/2010 Sunday
Time: 08:00 - 16:00 (Ferry from Po Toi to Stanley Blake Pier start at 15:00 and 16:30; ferry from Po Toi to Aberdeen start at 18:00, participants can decide which ferry to take.)
Gathering Time & Place: 07:45 Aberdeen Ferry Pier, Aberdeen Promenade
Ferry will leave Aberdeen at 8:15am and there is only one ferry going to Po Toi from Aberdeen. To ensure you can have a place on the ferry, please be punctual! If you cannot reach Aberdeen before 8:00am, please call the activity leader 9457 3196 to reserve a place for you.
Free of Charge for all members. HK$30 for non-member. But ALL participants have to pay their own ferry fee ($40 round trip)
Target Species: Migratory birds

行程時間：上午八時至下午約四時 (蒲台島開往赤柱於下午3:00 及4:30 開出; 蒲台島開往香港仔於下午6:00開始，參加者可自行決定回程時間)
集合地點：08:00 香港仔海濱公園往蒲台島街渡碼頭
唯一一班由香港仔開往蒲台島的街渡將於8:15開出，為確保有足夠座位，敬請準時到達碼頭。如未能趕及8:00前到達，請即致電活動領隊 (9457 3196) 以便預留位置。
會員: 免費 非會員: 港幣$30
所有參加者需自行繳付來回船票之票價
目標鳥種：過境遷徙鳥

So it is only a day for outing activity which the destination to be determined just before the actual date. I understand now.
I was thinking of some sort of special activity....

About 25 join the Po Toi Outing today.
We were rewarded with a Northern Boobook (Brown Hawk Owl).  Other bird include Eurasian Siskin and Mugimaki Flycatcher.  Mountain Tailorbird was heard.  33 species were ticked.  Here is the bird list.

The first autumn record of Brown Hawk Owl on Po Toi

Thanks to Dr. Cheung for leading this outing and spotting the Brown Hawk Owl. The Brown Hawk Owl stayed at the same spot for many hours and bird photograhers could take as many photos for it as they like!
