Blue & White Flycatcher..., back after a few days absence... Author: lpaul Time: 13/11/2010 12:52
Different bird. Note for example the number of moulted greater coverts and the different tertial pattern of the two. Both the same age and sex though. Author: mguy Time: 13/11/2010 13:00
Thanks Paul..... that sort of thing is way beyond me....., is lucky we have you around.

Looks like third bird - note the pale buff tips to all the tertials. Where are the females in that part of the world?! Author: mguy Time: 17/11/2010 19:02
I wish I knew.... be nice to have a few extra females round the house every now & again....
Here's a shot of the same bird I quite liked also.... Author: brendank Time: 17/11/2010 20:39
Great, shot. Interesting that both you and I have had 2 Blue-and-white Flycatchers within the last 2 weeks. Historically it would seem that by November there aren't many of these species moving through. Author: mguy Time: 18/11/2010 20:20
Yes very strange.... but I am up to 3 now & hoping for more - lol
