Saw this Thrush in Long Valley. Hesitating between Japanese and Grey-backed. Thanks for helping

Japanese - the orange colour restricted to the flanks.

interesting... I saw it in grass land, and no woodland nearby. There were two of them (young or females) with a Blackbird.
Thought that Japanese was more of a woodland bird...

This prolonged period of cold weather is quite difficult for birds, and one can see a number of species in atypical habitats or sites as they forage. White's Thrushes are particularly obvious at the moment.
