Seen today on Po Toi, moving steadily northwards up the east coast. It had probably just arrived on the island when I first saw it.
An unusual record for Po Toi, in fact only the second record, and my first.
The previous one was 10th February 2008 which suggests that late winter may be a passage period for this species. Or it may be an effect of the cold weather - late Jan/early Feb 2008 was also a very cold spell. There can't be many snakes around at this time.
