Gathering place and Route: will be announced later.
Note: This will be a long trip on open waters. The ride could be quite rough and some people may get seasick. Those who want to leave at lunchtime may take the ferry (departing hourly) at Tap Mun for Wong Shek Pier. The fare is non-refundable irrespective of early departure from Tap Mun.
We will confirm the participants about 5 days before the outing whether their reservation application is accepted or not. Once the reservation is confirmed, we will not accept any withdrawal. All the registered participants are required to pay the prescribed fare, no matter they can attend the outing or not. If we cancel the outing due to inclement weather or special reason, the paid fare will be refunded to the participants.

Route: Start from Ma Liu Shui, One hour at Tap Mun for lunch, 16:30 Finish at Ma Liu Shui Pier
Adverse Weather arrangement:
The activity will be postponed if Typhoon signal no. 3 or above OR Black rainstorm warning is hoisted at 6:30 am that morning.
The activity will be continued if Typhoon signal no. 1 or Red rainstorm warning is hoisted at 6:30 am that morning.

About 32 people joined the outing. The boat was not large enough to support a larger crowd. Some beginning birdwatchers suffered sea sick despite a relatively calm sea.
Good numbers of terns were seen, despite a very high level of holiday fishering activities.
Counts were:
Shek Ngau Chau
Bridled Tern 150 (difficult to count because only small number flew out regularly).
Roseate Tern 9
Black-naped Tern 30 adults + 9 juveniles
Kung Chau and Chik Chau
Bridled Tern about 10
Black-naped Tern 36
Tap Mun and Hoi Har area,
Bridled Tern a few
Roseate Tern 1
Black Naped Tern about 10 inlcuding 1 juvenile
Ching Chau and Kat O area
Black-naped Tern
18 adults + 1 juvenile
