Thank you! What a surprise for me!
I just leisurely walk along the seashore, and its yellow bill is so attractive. Author: fkm Time: 18/05/2011 22:34

a very good record for Tsing Yi - and a big reward for birding a local patch.
Congratulations!

Thanks Mike. I have looked for it in Tsing Yi for a long time. Because I think the habitat is good for it.
Also, recently there are 40-60 individuals of Cattle egrets and little egrets flying along the Rambler Channle. I think most of them are migrants. So, there would be a chance that this Swinhoe's Egret followed them to come.

Hi Fatchun,
Is the Swinhoe's Egret still there? Near Tsing Yi Bridge?

I looked there this morning and didn't see it but it was high tide then. Perhaps it would come back with low tide. Author: madcat Time: 20/05/2011 17:14
It was there around 3pm today, mixed into a group of 10 Little egrets. Author: fatchun Time: 20/05/2011 20:15
Yes Tim, it was under the North bridge.
