Hi there,

I am a bit puzzled by this bird seen in August in northern Tunisia (flycatcher?). Was hopping on rocks, which doesn't seem the normal behaviour of flycatchers. Could you please help?

Thanks a lot

It looks like a Spotted Flycatcher, but I agree that hopping around on rocks is unusual behaviour. Perhaps a hungry migrant which couldn't find any more suitable habitat?

May be... I thought about the Spotted Flycatcher too, but the underparts are not marked with black like here and the black patch on the wing also doesn't seem to match... I saw plenty of them in that location.
