Details of the Pui O Outing to be held on 11 Dec 2011 as below:-

Date: 11/12/2011 Sunday
Gathering time: 08:00
Gathering place: Exit B, Tung Chung MTR Station

Activity time: 8:00 - 12:00
Target Species: Wintering forest and farmland birds

Free of Charge for all members.
HK$30 for non-member.

Thanks to our leader Fai Gor who led us to Pui O in the morning & also Mui Wo in the afternoon.
I would rate this Peregrine Falcon as the bird of the day even though we have another one at Mui Wo.

At Mui Wo, everyone was very happy to be able to get a close look of a White-throated Kingfisher & a Common Buzzard.

What a shame!I didn't follow the group to Mui Wo. Hope to take a look at Kingfisher.

About 50 joined the outing last Sunday.  It was hard-birding, might be the presence of the Peregrine Falcon drove away most of the birds.  Still, the weather was good despite a bit windy.  Good birds at Pui O were the Kentish Plovers that were finally driven away by a dog, that the Peregrine Falcon (peregrinator ?), an uncommon subspecies.
