Finally Nikon have come out with a "revolution" of a camera with the new V1. http://www.dpreview.com/products/nikon/slrs/nikon_v1
With Electronic Viewfinder and fast frame rate ( up to 60 frames per second )and bright sharp screen it's an innovative addition to a long line of Nikon Digiscoping cameras.
It comes bundled with the 10 - 30 mm and 30 - 110/3.5-5.6 mm kit zooms so I've been using the 10 - 30 zoom. It's internally focusing with a 40.5 mm filter thread to attache to a DCA/DA type adapter. . For ease of use and speed it's the fastest camera I've tested and I haven't found a need to use the 30/60 fps yet. I mostly use 10 fps. It works well with fixed eyepieces without vignetting but also works with zoom eyepieces over 20 mm into the zoom.
The photo below shows the Kowa lens/scope with the Kowa VA3 adapter (14x ) which I can use with the Nikon 30 - 110 mm zoom lens for a range of 1100 - 4200 mm approx. )
Here are a few images from last week.
