I saw these birds in Tai Po Kau this morning, within a bird wave. Aside from the second one, where i think it could be a juvenile Mountain Tailorbird, I have no clue about what these birds could be. The third one (really a poor photo) was clearly a warbler on the field, but I don't know any common warbler with yellow breast...
Thanks a lot in advance
Hmmm. Difficult to tell from these photos.
The first bird is a Blue-winged Minla - you can see the head pattern and the long, square tail (although blue colour not obvious)
Second I think is a Common Tailorbird judging by the long bill, but it's difficult to make out any useful features.
Third is probably a Goodson's Leaf Warbler - the pattern of yellow on the breast and centre of the belly looks best for this species. Author: Ronaldo Time: 29/11/2011 06:07
Thanks John. I thought about the minla for the first, but the bill seems very short. Is it immature? Another photo of the same bird attached
