I saw it perched on a window sill in Fanling.

This is a Yellow-legged Buttonquail. Obviously a disorientated migrant - may have hit a window during the night.

Wow, a incredible find!! Yellow-breasted Buttonquails tend to migrate in October so this would be quite late for it to be migrating.

Talking about late migration, several of us witnessed two Yellow Bitterns in Mai Po on 31 Dec 2011.
