Dear All:
Anyone can share their opinion about the above mentioned product?
I know the photo quality for this is low, my main purpose is to use the DCM as eyepiece,
so it is easier for my inexperience family member to share the image.
Is the DCM unit weather proof? How long the battery can last? Is the image viewable? Other then getting it from HKBWS, is there any other shop has display? Thanks Author: 9Wi Time: 12/06/2012 11:57
"Being watertight and shock-proof the Digital Camera Module can comfortably be used in adverse weather conditions...."
Is the DCM unit weather proof?
It is watertight.
How long the battery can last?
I am afraid it is "using pattern" depended.
Is the image viewable?
Personally, I am using NEX 5N with EVF in digiscoping. I can not view the LCD screen under strong sun light, but somebody can do. Author: KennyYip Time: 12/06/2012 13:55 Subject: To Dr. 9wi
Dear Dr. 9wi:
Thanks for your reply. Have you play with this before? Would you recommend this for pure bird observation purpose? Do you think that for observation only, the battery can last for say 2 hrs?
Thanks Author: 9Wi Time: 12/06/2012 19:05
Dear Kenny,
I'm just a small potato, not Dr.
I have never played with this, I think that a 2” LCD screen is too small for pure bird observation purpose, it is better to say a viewfinder rather than a monitor.
I can not find detail specifications/information mentioning the power consumption/battery capacity on their website for my calculation, but I think it can last for 2hrs. I recommend using DIY external battery pack after you bought it. Author: puppymic Time: 12/06/2012 21:48
