24 July 2012
As soon the rain from Vicente was over, I headed out seawatching. My plan was to go to Chung Hom Kok but that was difficult than expected. Between Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay the road was completely blocked by trees. I had to leave my taxi walk around the trees and find another taxi in Repulse Bay.
When I finally reached Chung Hom Kok, there wasn't much activity. Shortly, after arrived there was a group of four Bridled Terns then nothing for the rest of the day. Disappointing that nothing was brought in by the worst storm in 13 years. Author: John Holmes Time: 25/07/2012 11:00 Subject: Post-typhoon birding
At least you got there, Brendan.
We tried going to Mai Po on 24th, but the fallen trees helped to create a traffic gridlock around San Tin...!
