Looks like a Ferruginous Duck, looks too brownish for a Bear's Pochard. Though can't see the white back end in this photo. Will like to hear from experts for advice. Author: gary Time: 30/04/2007 21:50
The head shape doesn't fit Baer's Pochard or Ferruginous Duck.
In Ferruginous duck, the "highest point" of the head usually at the "rear part". But the photo shows a slightly protruded forehead.
Could it be Tufted Duck or Greater Scaup?
