香港觀鳥會今天發佈"保護沙螺洞 Protect Sha Lo Tung" facebook page, 希望大家按"like"支持, 並分享你對沙螺洞的意見、拍到的照片等等。

我們對沙螺洞的立場:
呼龥政府把沙螺洞劃入八仙嶺郊野公園
不可讓發展商假自然保育之名破壞自然

強烈反對政府將沙螺洞4公頃屬的「綠化地帶」官地批予項目倡議人興建大型骨灰龕場，加上擴闊上山道路而摧毀的16公頃林木，將會徹底破壞沙螺洞山谷美景和鄉郊寧靜，更會危害極具保育價值的生態環境和珍貴生物，令市民失去一條獨一無二的生態旅遊路線。

The HKBWS today launches the "保護沙螺洞 Protect Sha Lo Tung" facebook page and invite you to "like" and share your thoughts on Sha Lo Tung as well as beautiful pictures.

Our Position on Sha Lo Tung:
We urge the government to include Sha Lo Tung as part of Pat Sin Leng Country Park, do not allow developer to destroy nature under the name of Nature Conservation.

We strongly object to the development of a mega-columbarium on 4 hectares of "Green Belt" government land. The widening of the Sha Lo Tung Road would destroy 16 hectares of woodland, destroying the beauty of Sha Lo Tung Valley, harming species of conservation interest, and taking away a unique eco-toursim route from Hong Kong Citizens.
