A nice selection migrants on Lamma this morning (mostly seen around Sok Kwu Wan and areas to the south):
Forest Wagtail x1
Japanese Paradise Flycatcher x1
Yellow-rumped Flycatcher x1
Black-winged Cuckooshrike x2
Pale-legged/Sakhalin Leaf Warbler x2
Arctic Warbler x 10
Yellow Wagtail x4
Grey Wagtail x2
Zitting Cisticola x2
Bright-capped Cisticola x1
Emerald Dove x2 (OK, these aren't migrants, but always nice to see)
The cooler weather made for a pleasant walk as well. Author: brendank Time: 15/09/2012 22:29
I don't quite understand the reason why Emerald Doves prefer some locations but not others but it seems they are almost common on Lamma Island. I have seen or heard them almost every time I have gone there.
