I. The following items are for sale:

a. A protractable adaptor for mounting onto Swarovski fixed focal-lenght eyepieces

The black barrel shaped item as shown in the attached foto is referred. If you are a Swarovski 80 HD fieldscope user, this adaptor can bite tightly with the barrels of the Swarovski's fixed focal-length eyepieces, i.e. the 20mm, 30mm and 45mm eyepieces. The opening facing you is the opening for biting with the eyepiece barrel. It fits much better with the eyepiece than the level of fitting provided by Swarovski's DBA. The level of fitness is further enhanced with the two screws provided. The sequel is: perfect alignment of the central axes of both the eyepiece and the camera lens.
In addition to central alignment, there are also two other advantages of this adaptor:
1. The adaptor is protractable. The height of the adaptor can be shortened or lengthened in a bid to bring the rear of the eyepiece close to the front element of the camera lens. The protractability is possible because the eyepiece comprises two units, the outer barrel and the inner core. Both cylindrical parts are held together by screw furrows. Rotation of either part can therefore bring the inner core up and down the furrow lines, thereby making it possible for the eyepiece to come into good contact with the camera zoom lens.
2. The rear part of the adaptor can freely rotate along the central axis if the two lower screws are loosened. The rotation makes it possible for both the landscape and portrait shooting formats to be actionable.

b. An adaptor for mounting onto Samsong NX20-50mm zoom lens for subsequent incorporation onto the eyepiece adaptor.

The adaptor is the silver one. As can be seen, a window has been opened for the manual zooming of the lens.

c.  The 20-50mm zoom lens

Please refer to #2 in the remarks section for the suitability of the lens for digiscoping purposes.

II.        Prices

a. The protractable adaptor:     $2000

b. The 20-50mm adaptor:        $1200

c. The 20-50mm lens:              $700

d. NX10:  I want to keep the NX10 for my own use because it is really a fantastic camera for a wide range of photographic purposes. If you are interested, I can sell it at $1300 and buy an upgrade model again in future.

Phone me at 97082642 to talk things over if you are interested in the above gear.

Regards,
Peter

Remakrs:
A word about digiscoping with Samsung NX10 and its 20-50mm zoom lens. Why and what are the advantages? Here is a brief account of them:

1. NX 10 as a camera body for digiscoping

NX10 is provided with an EVF, a cabled shutter release slot and an APS-C sensor, elements of which highly essential to the success of digiscoping.
Focusing is reasonably fast.
What is more is the accurate exposure one can get from shooting with the centre-weighted metering mode. If you are familiar with digiscoping, you probably will notice that you have to add or cut exposure to get the right exposure. Of the four systems I have used, Nikon and Samsung offer correct exposure while Ricoh and Lumix otherwise. By correct exposure, I refer to the fact that you can depend on your knowledge of the 18% grey scale as the reference point to decide exposure.  I cannot explain why we have to step up exposure in the case of Ricoh and step it down in the case of Lumix to give our shots right exposure and thus far, people whom I have come across fail to account for such a phenomenon.
In other words, you can depend on NX10 for good digiscoping results.

2. 20-50mm lens as a short zoom lens for coupling up with the eyepiece.

As regards 20-50mm, the advantage is with the short zooming distance of this lens. You can get vignet free images from 23mm of the lens onward to the telephotographic end of the lens. This is amazing, unfound of in NEX lens series; NEX would have been a perfect camera for digiscoping if such a lens had been made.

The following items in the first post have been sold:

-   The 20-50mm adaptor:  $1200

-   The 20-50mm lens:  $700

The protractable eyepiece adaptor for Swarovski's eyepiece is still available. The price is cut to $1500. It is equivalent to the Swarovski eyepiece adaptor DCA but the tube length can both be lengthened and shortened to allow for the eyepiece to come into the perfect contact with the zoom lens of any make of digital cameras.

Phone me at 97082642 if you are interested in the adaptor.
