Have your checked the Flowerpeckers in HK?  It is the commonest Flowerpecker in HK.

no need for a book, just look at intersection of flowerpeckers lists of Hong Kong and of Singapore using wikipedia for instance.
Internet is a good reference, if not perfect, and birdwatching "fun" is also to investigate what you find, not just taking pictures.
