Hi, I will have a walk with friends to Tap Mun 2 weeks later. I want to see is it a good site for bird watching in this season? Also, at what time it is best? Thanks! Author: ajohn Time: 30/10/2012 08:18
I think few people really try birding on Tap Mun. I see no reason that there shouldn't be birds around, especially now that it is the migration season.

went there on 10Nov finally. Few drops of rain initially, but then subshine.
Not really good in identifying birds there, but still found:
Eurasian Tree Sparrow (麻雀)
Red-whiskered Bulbul (紅耳鵯)
Great Tit (大山雀)
White Wagtail (白鶺鴒)
Little Egret (小白鷺)
Great Egret (大白鷺)
Chinese Bulbul (白頭鵯)
Grey Heron (蒼鷺)
Daurian Redstart (北紅尾鴝)
Black Kite (黑鳶)
Yellow-bellied Prinia (灰頭鷦鶯)
Blue Rock Thrush (藍磯鶇)
There should be a lot more, but I didn't have time to stay in one place for too long (and keep my friends waiting). Think it is a good place to hang around for a morning.
