A Saunders's Gull carrying a blue flag in code of 'E4' was seen from Mai Po boardwalk since 15 November 2012. Blue flag is fitted to birds ringed at Yancheng NNR, Jiangsu,China and we are still waiting for the information of the date of this bird fitted with the flag but this bird was probably flagged in 2010.

If you have seen or photographed any flagged Saunders's Gull, please post the information and the photos here.

在今年11月15日,米埔浮橋外,發現一隻黑嘴鷗帶有'E4'藍色腳旗, 藍色腳旗是用於在江蘇省鹽城國家級自然保護區裡捕捉及環認的黑嘴鷗. 此鳥是可能在2010年夏天或以後被帶上腳旗, 會員朋友們, 如果你有見到任何有腳旗的黑嘴鷗, 可以報告在這裡!

Interesting that you should post this. I saw a flagged Saunders's Gull from the boardwalk hide yesterday, but the flag was far too muddy to make out any details of the colour or engraving. I guess it was probably the same bird.

After checking the photo of the bird and information provided by the researcher, the code should be 'EA' and this bird was flagged at Yancheng NNR, Jiangsu, 7 July 2010. So, this gull is now in age of 2 years and 4 months.

根據研究人員的提供資料及最近的照片, 這隻黑嘴鷗的藍色腳旗上的號碼應該是EA, 是在2010年7月7日環誌的. 所以直到現在的年齡是兩歲四個月.

Interestingly the same bird with flag EA is present again this year. I saw it last week (6th March) and again today (12th March).
