Today I had a field trip on the Shek O Quarry. When I walked in the road of the quarry, a dead Black Kite was seen. Actually, there are many black kites in the sky of Shek O, why this one was dead? Maybe avian flu? Author: kmike Time: 13/03/2007 12:39
Hi Allan
Pleas remember that millions of birds die every year for many reasons that have noyhing to do with Avian influenza.
AFCD has tested hundreds if not thousands of birds that have tested negative for H5N1, but it is not known why they do not release this information to help inform the public that H5N1 is a problem of cagebirds.
Cheers
