A. Regulatory Actions against Registered User with inappropriate messages or opinions posted at HKBWS Forum
In order to strengthen the management of HKBWS Forum , the HKBWS will enforce the following regulatory actions strictly:
1. If a registered user of HKBWS Forum posted any messages or opinions including business promotion, incorrect information or illegal practice, etc. contravening the rules of HKBWS Forum, the forum administrators will delete the concerned posts as soon as possible, and terminate his/her forum account.
2. If a registered user posted any “inappropriate opinion or statement” but without any obvious contravention to the rules of HKBWS Forum, the forum administrators will delete or lock the concerned post as soon as possible. The ‘inappropriate opinion or statement’ should include any opinions that lead to such situations:
a) Failure to abide, or even violate the objective of HKBWS;
b) Misleading the public about the perception of bird watching or bird photography; or
c) Bringing disrepute to HKBWS.
3. If the registered user continues to post ‘inappropriate opinions or statement’ on the same or related topic, or to repeat posting any ‘inappropriate opinions or statement’ within 3 months, the forum administrators will delete the concerned message as soon as possible, and terminate the forum account of the registered user.
B. Guidelines on posting photos at HKBWS Forum:
1. Provision of Date and Location of Bird Photo
Every bird photo is a bird record which provides basic information for identification and understanding of its habitat. In order to encourage bird record submission and facilitate the Record Committee collecting more complete bird records, all users are required to post their bird photos together with corresponding date and location shown in the message.
2. Prohibition of Posting Bird Nesting Photos
To avoid any disturbance to breeding birds, it is not allow to post any nesting photo such as bird nest, juvenile in the nest or nesting behavior etc. at the forum.
