Having just seen one female Daurian Redstart with the usual white wing patch, this one flew in front of me and perched. There was no clear white, only what looked like a wing bar. The rump was bright and the rufous extended well up the back. Is it just an unusual Daurian female? Images with phone and binoculars, very cropped.
I tried very hard to make it something else but I have just heard from Paul Leader and he has confirmed it as a Daurian. Ah, well. "First winter females can show less white in the wing than adults and can look reduced like this one".
