Mai Po 30-3-2013 Fish Pond No.16/17 The bird in the middle i don't know is it a spoon-billed sandpiper or other, sorry about long distant and poor quality.
The Kentish Plover (bottom right) is of interest as it has a complete black breast band - a feature which is quite rare, but not unknown, in this species.

One in breeding plumage was seen by Ying Hak King from new boardwalk hide during rising tide today. Author: HKBWS Ivan Time: 10/05/2013 16:33
After Ying Hak King's sighting record, We haven't had any sighting of the Spoon-billed Sandpiper for about 3 weeks. Although last two years we did not get any record after late April. But the previous records suggest some birds could arrive in early to mid-May. Please report here if you see the Spoon-billed Sandpiper. Thank you very much.
