Subject: [Hong Kong] Plaintive Cuckoo? [Print This Page]

Dear all,

Is it a Plaintive Cuckoo? As I have only saw the back of this bird and did not have other angles, so it is hard for me to find out what it is. I think I did not heard the sound of it. So I just flip thru the whole "The BIRDS of HONG KONG and SOUTH CHINA". I think the beak of this bird seems to be a cuckoo. The size of it is relative small match the description "Not much bigger than a bulbul" The eye of it is red and the other cuckoo is usually yellow. But it seems to me that Plaintive Cuckoo is more colorful that this one. So I am not sure what it is (or my direction is totally wrong)? Would anyone help me to ID it? Thanks in advance.
