Besides, I saw a blue bird in the morning at the same place, I think it is a male Hainan Blue Flycatcher (I do not have a clear picture of it as it was very dark in the morning). So initially I think that it is a female Hainan Blue Flycatcher, but the tail of it is too short (nearly cannot be seen in the second photo). I still think that it is a female Hainan Blue Flycatcher (maybe with broken tail) or is it other species? Appreciate your comment. Thanks.
the second set is definitely a baby hainan blue flycatcher .. he looks very similar to the one that has been around TPK the last month and a bit .. Author: tmichael Time: 8/06/2013 08:58
Yeah, female Hainan Blue minus tail.
I assume these incidents occur due to encounters with raptors or cats mostly. Author: kkchang168 Time: 8/06/2013 16:03
Thanks.
