Land bird taken at Tam Kon Chau, Mai Po on 17.Jun.2013.
Flipped thru' Birds of HK & South China a couple times, but still can't ID. Appreciate some help from the experts, please. Many thanks!
Although they were always previously winter visitors, there are a few White-cheeked and Red-billed Starlings around Mai Po this summer, including juveniles. The same has also happened in recent years, and both species are now become regular in Deep Bay in summer as well as winter. Author: wcaptain Time: 27/06/2013 09:38
About 15 Red-billed Starlings were seen at Futian NR, Shenzhen on 1 June. Some likely to be juv. So they are now residents in the Deep Bay area Author: ajohn Time: 27/06/2013 14:57
I saw four Red-billed Starlings in Macau a couple of weeks ago as well, so they are also spending the summer there now. Author: ajohn Time: 29/06/2013 13:31
I saw about 90 White-cheeked Starlings yesterday evening along the Mai Po Access Road, including a number of juveniles.
