Siberian Blue Robin (90% sure id, most likely female/juvenile) along the red walk. near the stream before picnic area 2.

2013-Sept-01 afternoon

I saw three bird waves in three different locations along Red Trail and tried hard to find what birds were there.

birdwave1:
Silver-eared Mesia
Rufous-capped Babbler
Grey-cheeked Fulvetta
Blue-winged Minla
Fork-tailed Sunbird
Japanese White-eye

birdwave2:
Silver-eared Mesia
Rufous-capped Babbler
Fork-tailed Sunbird
Chestnut Bulbul 3 two adults and one juvenile which begging for food

birdwave3:
Silver-eared Mesia
Fork-tailed Sunbird
Japanese White-eye
Asian Paradise Flycatcher
Arctic Warbler
Grey-chinned Minivet 1 female

My birding record 2 days ago.

This afternoon, very hot, I saw one bird wave in Blue Trail:

Sorry Geoff, I don't have any photo of this bird.

This bird was seen at 1600 on brown walk. It showed up very well and gave us a very clear view for more than 30 seconds.
This is a light brown to buffy rock thrush with scaly pattern on its body. It has obvious white throat with no eyebrow and buff crescent on its neck.

Also a lot of Hong Kong Newts in the streams, I guess it's coming closer to their breedin season? They are very active these days. Well worth checking the sandy pools if you want to see any, easily can spot 10+.
