A tough bird to photograph in such harsh light. This was my effort. I would be interested if an expert could comment on the age / sex of this bird - looking at Per Alström it appears to be a worn adult female - the scapulars and the coverts are abraded but the yellow goes all the way under the belly. Per Alström also cautions on the confusion species M. flava flavissima and lutea but these appear out of range and are not in The Avifauna.
