Today I saw these 4 birds flying when I was going back home, from Tuen Mun West Rail Station.
When I saw them at first sight, I think ducks are really unusual near my home place.
And also I think their sizes are too big for ducks...

I just got one photo anyway...





Black bill but too far to see if there is yellow spot on it...
Red/ Orange leg
White belly

I suspect they are bean geese...

Brilliant work to get pictures of these birds flying by while you're not even out birding!

They  look like Bean Goose to me - and probably of the shorter-necked species.

Yeah! Thanks for confirming the identification...!!!

When I was observing them, I paid attention to their flight direction...
Normally Bean Goose comes from the north? But Today, these 4 individual flew from South to North...
Here is a very brief description of their flight direction...



The Green Star is me, where the location I saw those Geese.
And the Arrow is the flight direction of the Geese...

So...
I also wonder if they land somewhere in Deep Bay

4 Geese were found in LV about 0800.
They were flying not quite high but not landed in LV.
Keep flying around in LV about 10 minutes (finding a place for rest?) than heading to South-west (Direction of Mai Po!).

My friend, Ming got some pictures at LV this morning, but they had not landed.

WoW!!! Keep tracking these 4 visitors!

Some said they landed on the LV River this morning, for a while...

Expecting any more photos of the 4 Bean Geese~
