Just come back from a recent visit to Vancouver from September 2013 to December 2013.
As this is not mainly a bird-watching trip, I only go birding during free time.
Just to share with birders that during this season, most birds seen are all year round in Vancouver and wintering visitor from the northern region. A total of 126 species were seen. The locations of birding I went are based on the below link (with detailed description of what kind of bird you may see): http://www.naturevancouver.ca/Birding_Birding_Sites
As Vancouver is located in a migratory route of birds, there are many waders can be found during spring and autumn. For the winter time, you may see some wintering visitors like: Snow Goose, Snowy Owl and Snow Bunting. And there are many places for birding within an hour of driving.
