Recently, we recognized that there was a leak underneath Gei wai #12 Museum (Fig. 1). This is mainly caused by daily tidal cycle which washed the soil away. The leak was found to be serious (Fig. 2) which is potential risk to visitor safety as well as management of water level for production of shrimps for waterbirds. We decided to conduct an emergency repair in early January 2014 which involve draining of Gei wai #12. During the work, some noise would be generated from the equipment but the disturbance will be kept to the minimal. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
