Two common magpies appeared at Long Valley on August 1st. When the magpie on the right plunged its head into the grass for scraps grains and vegetable substances, the magpie on the left held up its head for vigilance. They took turns to fill up their gizzard. Then they climbed up an earth bank. The magpie on the right watched out for its partner to clear off the bank before disappeared behind the bushes.
