Winter gei wai drain down 2014-2015 冬季基圍乾塘
Over the coming months, WWF will drain down the gei wai inside the Mai Po Nature Reserve on rotation basis. This is done to benefit waterbirds in Deep Bay whom congregate at the gei wai as the water-level is gradually lowered. Proposed drain down dates are:
20-26 Oct : GW#22
3-9 Nov : GW#10
22-Nov - 1-Dec : GW#12
6-12 Dec : GW#14
15-24 Dec : GW#18
3-9 Jan : GW#13
17-23 Jan : GW#19
2-11 Feb : GW#7
2-8 Mar : GW#11
