Looks like a Brown-breasted Flycatcher, a very good bird indeed! However Wo Chai Shan being so close to bird street...I wonder how many escapes find their refuge there. Can't tell whether this was or not from the feathers. Good record none the less~ Author: 星魚 Time: 26/12/2014 20:11
Congratulations;)

Looks like a Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher.
Any more photos showing its tail? Author: JohnC Time: 27/12/2014 00:00
Hi aenckl, great find!
Where about in Woh Chai Shan? I can look for it tomorrow if I have time.
Thanks Author: aenckli Time: 27/12/2014 09:35
The bird is near the entrance of Tai Hang Tung Recreation Ground.
I intend to ID it as Brown-breasted Flycatcher because of the rounder body and the standing posture.
Thank You aenckli. Author: JohnC Time: 27/12/2014 18:14
The Brown-chested jungle Flycatcher was there this afternoon (27/Dec) near Tai Hang Tung Recreation Ground. Just go through the hole in the fence and walk towards the back where there are big rocks. Or you could view the area from above if you go up the stairs before the hole in the fence.

Nice record of Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher in winter! Looks like an immature bird to me by virtue of the patterned tertials. Author: jsk_ppp Time: 29/12/2014 02:14
Many thanks to aenckli and JohnC for finding the bird and informing all of us of the location, giving us the chance to take photos of this rare bird.
