青腳鷸不怕雨
Common Greenshank is not afraid of rain

紅腳鷸不怕雨
Common Redshank is not afraid of rain

鶴鷸不怕雨...
Spotted Redshank is not afraid of rain...

哎呀,鶴鷸的嘴不怕雨...
Ah, Spotted Redshank's bill is not afraid of rain...

濕地公園有吹髮器嗎?
Any hair dryer in Wetland Park?

紅腳鷸那會不怕雨；

鶴鷸那會不怕雨；

鶴鷸的嘴硬，硬說不怕雨....；

雨傘和雨衣才是真正最不怕雨；

有天紅腳鷸、鶴鷸曉得舉傘穿雨衣，也會舉傘穿雨衣。

謝謝 9Wi 的評語。很多涉禽和水鳥的羽毛都是防水的。有一說法是尾脂腺的油脂，亦有說法是整理羽毛時產生的靜電。感覺上只有普通鸕鶿的羽毛防水性低。這次見到鶴鷸的［落湯雞］樣是有點詫異。哈哈，讀萬卷書不如行萬里路，看來我還要多些去濕地走走。
Thank you for 9Wi's comments. Many shorebirds and waterbirds have waterproof feathers. One saying is the preen oil from the bird's uropygial gland. Another saying is the electrostatic charge to the oiled feather through preening. I previously thought only the Common Cormorant's feathers are less waterproof and I was surprised to see this Spotted Redshank's wet look under heavy rain. May be I should go out more to the wetlands to learn more.
