Red-necked - dark legs and bill, with still a hint of red breeding plumage around the face.

I wonder why this could not be a Sanderling. Aren't there some more photos?

Yes, you're right. Sanderling is a possibility and I was perhaps too hasty in only considering stints. The broad wing-bar may favour Sanderling.
More photos would be useful.
