It's really patience that you caught sight of this reed warbler. The head pattern was all clear.

Is it Thick-billed?
There seems to me to be a hint of a supercilium and the tail looks a bit short.
Thick-billed usually seems to me to have a more shrike-like outline than this bird appears to have, though it's all difficult to judge in a flight shot of this nature. Author: tmichael Time: 18/09/2015 22:59
Sorry if that's what you actually meant, Mr Tai. I've just re-read and re-interpreted your comment. Author: tsheunglai Time: 19/09/2015 20:37
Mike
At a closer look of the photo, the bird's head was partially covered by pale clusters of seeds, though eyestripe seems absent and lore looking pale.
Discussions always benefit both sides, favouring or unfavouring. All lead to closer exams.
Cheers

I agree with Mike that the head pattern (taking into account Mr Tai's comment on the pale seeds obscuring the head) and proportions don't seem quite right for Thick-billed. I think it may be an Oriental Reed Warbler. Author: cthomas Time: 20/09/2015 22:04
